First run
A guided tour of the overlay on your first launch.
First time you press the overlay key, you’ll see a dark panel with a tab bar across the top. The overlay is keyboard-first — every tab, list, and action has a shortcut.
What to try first
- Settings — set your preferred keybinds.
- Mixer — open an empty recipe and play with ingredients. Nothing is committed in-game until you press Export.
- Cookbook — save the recipe you just built. It persists across saves.
- Services — browse the marketplace. Costs are in in-game currency.
- Stats menu — the in-overlay page for live player and world stats.
Saves are safe
AERR uses the game’s own save events (RamaSave) to persist its state alongside your save file. Mixer recipes, cookbook entries, and script state travel with the save — they’re not in a separate universal store. See save safety.
